It is not best fit for car travelling. Finding very difficult to fix in the car seat with pouch.

To start off I have looked for an IPOD Player for a long time that would play my sons Ipod Movies. I tryed this player and was happy it also played DVDs.
The problem is it only worked for 1 day, and then it quit playing my Ipod Nano Movies , so I tried my 80Gb video and it would not play those videos either, and on the 3rd day it killed my Ipod Nano. The Ipod Nano will not work, its dead.
I was very upset, the Ipod Nano is new and I have 4 of them and not 1 has ever broken on me.
So now I have a non working player (still plays DVDS) that ruined my IPOD Nano.
I would NOT recommend this player !!

The biggest concern for most people was the car mount. I have found a really good car mount that will work great for most tablet portable dvd players, to include this one in particular. It is much safer than those velcro straps and can even be slightly adjusted for your viewing pleasure. (Germany did a test on in car dvd players and found that the velcro straps or cup holder cases/mounts are unsafe and could kill a child at 18MPH. Projectile dvd players? Something to think about). Please pass the word around so that everyone can use this device to its full portable and safe potentional.

Es mas grande de lo que esperaba y el tipo de plastico del que esta hecho no se ve muy resistente (puedo estar equivocado el tiempo dira). Lee de todo, hasta copias y el dock para ipod es muy buena idea al igual que el lector de tarjetas sd. Tiene tanto salidas como entradas de video lo que lo hace util para juegos de video y ademas tiene 2 entradas para audifonos para que lo utilizen dos personas a la vez.

Ohilips have combined them (and a flash memory card reader) and created the DCP851. The video will explain the features, but here is a summary of important facts
What it WILL do-
- Play DVDs from all regions
- Work with you iPod Touch, iPhone, and Video iPod
- Can be used as a digital picture frame – when used with an iPod or memory card
- Can be used as an external speaker to play playlists
- Will receive a signal with anything that has a RCA output (VCRs, Video game consoles, and etc)
- Can cross-dock – you can send a signal from the Philips to a larger screen ( a great way to dock your iPod directly to your television!)
What it will NOT do-
- With the exception of YouTube – it will not play streaming content from your iPod Touch or iPhone. This includes the SlingPlayer app and MLB – my guess is that Amazon is to blame for this limitation.
- Will not have a battery that lasts greater than 2.5 hours
- Does not include a mounting kit
Other notes-
- Picture quality is average a best.
- Comes with a car charger
- Comes with a pretty nifty remote
- Not the easiest to see at an angle or if in a high light setting
Final Verdict – I REALLY wished that this would work with streaming content from my iPod, but as a whole I am satisfied with the device. Finally, I purchased a remanufactured device through Amazon from New Harbor. They did a great job in answering my questions on the capabilities of the player. Buy with confidence.
